How to configure Contacts to call and text them

Chatsie allows you to choose which contacts appear on Chatsie Menu. You can do this using the Chatsie Menu or via Chatsie on the web.

The procedure for configuring contacts using the Chatsie Menu is as follows:

On the Chatsie Menu, tap “Other options”, and then tap “Edit saved numbers”. Tap on the contact you wish to configure, and you can enable or disable texts or call shortcuts for the desired contacts as required.

Texts

Underneath the heading “Show on menu?”, to enable the Text shortcut, toggle “For texts” to “ON”. On enabling the Text option for a particular contact, a shortcut for “Text [Contact Name]” will be displayed for the mobile user in the Chatsie Menu app. For example, “Text John”.

If the Text shortcut is disabled for a contact, “Text [Contact Name] will not be visible in the Chatsie Menu app, but will still be an option to text by going to the Chatsie Menu, and tapping “Text someone” (or ”Text someone else”).

Calls

Underneath the heading “Show on menu?”, to enable the Call shortcut, toggle “For calls” to “ON”. On enabling the Call option for a particular contact, a shortcut of “Call [Contact Name]” will be displayed for the mobile user in the Chatsie menu app. For example, “Call John”.

If the Call shortcut is disabled for a contact, “Call [Contact Name] will not be visible in the Chatsie Menu app, but will still be an option to call by going to the Chatsie Menu, and tapping “Call someone” (or ”Call someone else”).

The procedure for configuring contacts using the Chatsie on the web is as follows:

  1. Connect your phone to the Chatsie on the web.

  2. Click Edit Menu.
    The Edit Menu page displays where you can view and edit Menu related settings.

  1. Under the Contacts section, you can enable or disable texts or call shortcuts for the desired contacts as required. Toggle “ON” to enable, and toggle “OFF” to disable.

Texts

On enabling the Text option for a particular contact, a shortcut for “Text [Contact Name]” will be displayed for the mobile user in the Chatsie Menu app. For example, “Text John”.

Calls

On enabling the Call option for a particular contact, a shortcut of “Call [Contact Name]” will be displayed for the mobile user in the Chatsie menu app. For example, “Call John”.
If the Call shortcut is disabled for a contact, "Call [Contact Name] will not be visible in the Chatsie Menu app, but will still be an option to call bu going to the Chatsie Menu, and tapping “Call someone” (or “Call someone else”).

  • When you make any modifications in the Edit Menu page, the “Not Saved” message will display along with the modified options. It means that changes have not yet been saved. You must save the changes in order for them to be applied to the mobile user.
  1. After specifying the desired contact related settings, click Save Changes
  • The “Syncing” message at the top of the screen will show briefly when saving changes. It will display indefinitely if you are having connection issues.
